About this artwork
In many of my pictures it is a matter of a very artistic disguise of objectively based longings and desires, which do not necessarily have to be real in every case, but can also be merely fantasized. Even if they don't tell long-winded stories, they send plenty of signals for many exciting events and crushes. The picture 'Be different' is one of my expressive material pictures in the truest sense of the word. Several layers of different building…
materials, filler and colored areas form the massive underground. By painting over and condensing individual areas, the selected individual parts grew together to form a harmonious composition. I added new fragments, additional characters, surfaces and messages scratched with a spatula or applied with ink, charcoal pencils and paint to this interplay of the forces, which were gentle despite their heaviness.
