About this artwork
I liked the palimpsest of the original drawing of the man walking, which pumped up the aspect of many realities of an event.
The grid (“out of true”) suggests how Truth or Order looks different from a different perspective. The chair is an old friend, suggesting investigation and movement, Heraclitus-like. And the “sun” is actually dried linseed oil, which will change over time, so perfect in many ways: incorporating something real and not representational,… something that will change, something that truly breaks out of the plane of the painting.

Robert Stanley
United States
A Physics student turned painter and digital artist, Robert Stanley deeply intertwines philosophy and poetry within his work. His eclectic style straddles the realistically observed and abstract, revealing hidden motifs derived from various surroundings. Stanley's art is a remarkable manifestation of the symbiosis of chaos and order, evoking a captivating meshing of emotion and enigma.
The “background” is the ground of our existence, the cosmic flow of time in which contemporary events existosmos. The relationship of the elements and ground emphasizes our place in the c, as Heraclitus said, “You can never step into the same river twice.”
