About this artwork
This semi abstract artwork is inspired by the amazing substance of water and the beauty of the natural world. I live near the river Thames in the English countryside. Often when I walk by the river, I am captured by the movement of the water and the willow draping over the riverbanks. There are no 2 days that the river looks the same.
This artwork has been made using mixed media materials including collage on primed canvas. It contains texture and… light blue, dark blue, turquoise, green, red, some purple, yellow, gold and pink. I include humble materials that I find beautiful. An example of this is packaging, that would otherwise end up in landfill.
So, let your eyes meander through this painting. Let the joy of taking a moment to look slowly capture you. 'Meandering' lets you dream. Are you by a lake, river, stream, sea or ocean? Let your imagination go. Enjoy!
