About this artwork
When everything that appears can have a different meaning, sometimes hidden by layers of illusory truths, represented by the clear touch of the spatula, which can only be discovered through the ability to see beyond those veils; or on the contrary, reality is often even more complex than imagination, because by getting to the bottom of questions and situations we can bring to light evidence that would otherwise remain hidden, truths that otherwise… would continue to be considered as part of a common imagination that thanks upon that closer observation, it turns out to be much more real than one would have anticipated.
Roberto Buccilli, an exponent of Abstract Expressionism, manipulates acrylics, stucco, and recycled materials. His preferred technique is the use of palette knives, blending gestural expression with vigorous textures. His works exude the raw sincerity of emotion, capturing the immediacy of his creative sensations. He exhibits regularly in Italy and abroad (all documented) and participates in major national fairs such as Arte Padova, Arte Genova, Pavia Art, and Arte Parma. His work is featured in the Mondadori Modern Art catalog no. 58 and in the De Agostini Modern Art catalog, 2024 edition, presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
