“Sound” is part of Robin Ballard’s “Elements” series where she explores ways to visually interpret chemical elements, and naturally occurring phenomena. In the painting turquoise and red dots merge in the middle of the canvas, creating pale undulating lines. The artist painted “Sound” using a small round utensil and dipping it into various colors of acrylic. Some of the dots are multi layered and there is a small mound where the paint has been applied.…
The painting has a very contemporary look. It is stretched on a frame and is easy to hang.
