About this artwork
Mirror is a photography series that captures total reflection in water to create surreal images. Gaele-1, taken in a Montreal pool in 2012, shows a girl in a red dress standing in a blue pool. The reflection in the water makes the image appear surreal, questioning the viewer's perception of reality. The girl is actually leaning forward and looking through the reflecting membrane, adding a touch of mystery to the image.
The artwork is printed on… premium archival paper and face-mounted under a satin antireflective acrylic. Available in 20 editions, with 4 at 40x60 in, 6 at 30x45 in, and 10 at 16x24 in. The piece for sale is numbered 2/4 at 40x60 in.
