This sculpture captures the strength and vibrant movement of a trotting horse, combining intense colors and dynamic shapes to evoke emotions of joy and freedom. I used resin and marble powder to give it texture and solidity. Using oil paint, since it's hand-painted, I wanted the strong colors and geometric shapes that characterize all my works (paintings, sculptures, and large installations) to convey their energy and transform any space into a place… full of life and passion. It's an inspiring symbol of power and creativity!
Rodolfo Navarro is an artist with over 40 years of experience who has expressed himself through drawing, printmaking, photography, and sculpture since the age of 13, with international exhibitions in various countries. He uses all techniques, exploring the transition between figuration and geometry close to the abstract, blurring forms in an infinite play. His works invite you to immerse yourself in spaces where the architectural transformation of the human figure awakens a connection with the viewer. Born in Valencia in 1966, he spent his childhood in the workshop of his father, a goldsmith and jeweler, and his mother, who made artistic enamels. He established a Master-Disciple relationship with Rafael Pérez Contel, reminiscent of the Renaissance. He set up his first professional studio in Paris from 1991 to 1997. He married Marie-Noëlle in 2002; they have four daughters. He currently divides his time between working at his studios in Valencia (Spain), Beijing (China) and Balaruc-les-bains (Occitanie, France).
