To embody the divine, a woman assumes the form of the goddess Kali. She seeks to manifest the Goddess's fearsome power within herself, to be filled and empowered by that primordial force.
To channel and amplify this transformation, she dances. Her movements are an offering before the yantra—the sacred geometric signature of the goddess. This intricate diagram, used like a talisman in the Western Magical Tradition, focuses her intent and becomes… a conduit for divine energy. The garland of skulls that adorns the yantra, and the goddess herself, are not mere symbols of death; they represent the great epochs of time, the countless ages both past and yet to come, all of which Kali transcends.
