My photography moves between black and white and the quiet moments in between. I am interested in those fleeting moments when light, space, and atmosphere are momentarily in balance.
Ever since my first camera, a Yashica 124G, I've been searching for such moments. During my training as a reproduction photographer, I first learned about images up close: tonal values, structures, and their effect on different media.
The desire to create my own images led me to study photo design in Darmstadt. Afterwards, I initially worked as a photographer before spending many years in marketing and advertising, eventually founding my own agency. Today, I dedicate myself fully to photography again – both analog and digital – and to the search for those quiet moments when light, space, and time converge for a fleeting instant.
