A picture of a balcony in Jerusalem. This small oil painting tries to capture a solemn and relaxing moment during a sunset. This picture was painted for the exhibition "In the praise of shadows" in the year 2018. The aesthetics of the paintings for this exhibition was taken from Tanizakis book of Japanese visual arts.

Roman Sedlak is a young Czech painter, sculptor and photographer with national exposure. Inspired by a range of sources, including the old masters of the renaissance, realist painters, Art Deco and Greek mythology, he composes paintings full of drama and story. As for photography, Sedlak primarily takes monochrome captures of urban environments; and for sculptures, he crafts metallic 3D pieces.
