Austrian-born, award-winning artist Romana Brunnauer has lived and worked in Lanzarote, Spain since 2005. Her paintings have been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions. Inspired by artists such as Miró, Richter and Zhou Brothers, she developed her own artistic practice. Her work is inspired by the inner motifs of external actions. Brunnauer works mainly with acrylic on canvas and is characterized by great gestures of her lines, which give her works a frenzied liveliness. Romana Brunnauer started her artistic career as an abstract painter. Since 2017, she has visibly turned to the figurative.
