The butterfly has been a recurring motif in my art practice...they are considered bio-indicators...highly sensitive creatures that are the first ones to leave if a habitat becomes unsustainable. In this work titled "Stardust" I'm bringing together the earth-bound natural world with outer space so that we may contemplate the universe as a whole.

Perhaps best-known for her large-scale sculpture installations, Romicon Revola is an experienced artist from Bangalore, India who has participated in both residencies and an extensive list of group and solo exhibitions. Her sculptures use traditionally industrial materials to create organic shapes and feminine forms. Revola’s pieces are the stylistically sophisticated works of an experienced artist: her aesthetic motivations are clear and her execution precise.
