About this artwork
Working on abstract painting on canvas for a few years, the artist has given himself the objective of creating a canvas.
For the realization of the first stage being the base, he concluded that it would not be only a painting but indeed a sculpture of wood. This allowed him to shape the wood.
His work began in the forest, he only used so-called "dead" wood, taking fir branches strewn on the ground.
Once found the caliber and size in the desired… quantity, the work of sorting, cleaning and disinfection began in order to eliminate all impurities.
The second step was the assembly of the structure. Key step as this will be the shape of the canvas.
Sawing, sanding and gluing branch by branch, then laying the first base coat of paint, all white.
The third and final step, make an abstract painting on this canvas.
