About this artwork
Islands scatter across the seascape receding just over the horizon towards the hazy slopes of a mountainous land. This place is both not and of this world, it is a watery world, the paint has been loosened and flows across the surface creating unworldly hues of pinks, lavenders, blues, greens; opalescent hues of a twilight imagination. It is as though a veil has been dropped over another reality that we cannot fully see into, something behind, underneath.
