The artwork "Let It Be" shows an unusual couple, an animal that resembles a kangaroo or donkey and a small monkey. Both animals are anthropomorphized and dressed in different fabrics in vibrant shades of red. The two animals stand in a relaxed position towards each other and seem to be talking to each other.

Rooney's painting exists on the threshold between stillness and density. In open-ended processes, pictorial spaces emerge in which organic forms, energetic centers, and vibrant structures appear and disappear. Her works deliberately remain open and ambiguous—resonant spaces that change over time, constantly revealing new relationships, rhythms, and densities.

Prior to her artistic career, Rooney worked for many years in business and design. She received, among other awards, DESIGN PLUS (German Design Council) and was nominated for the German Design Award. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the HongArt Museum Chongqing (2025–2026) and in a solo exhibition at the Tibaldi Gallery, Rome (2023). Rooney lives and works in Germany and Italy.
