About this artwork
Bringing back spring came about after reading “Consciousness beyond life” by the Dutch cardiologist Pim Van Lommel. It is an attempt to represent the ineffable, alludes to the eternity of consciousness, or the soul. The soul that persists in another dimension that we cannot access.
If the range captured by our senses were different, we would perceive another world. How many worlds share our space-time?
This work was painted in the midst of a pandemic,… while we live in isolation, many take refuge in their pets, others walk alone, but children are seen playing soccer on the little dirt fields, doing their best. Just as winter prepares spring and seeds to sprout, the world prepares to return spring.
