I created this work with an ardor that flows into the intimacy of the human figure, emerging from a vibrant red. Italian artist Rossana Borzelli comes from a Roman family of artisans and artists and has always expressed her deepest emotions through this medium. Her striking portraits are inspired by her life experiences and those of female artists of yester years. Their silhouettes are ethereal, emotive and evocative of the struggles they encountered. Working with a diverse range of organic and traditional painting materials Rossana's pieces have great depth and texture, enduring totems to their subjects.
