I assigned the outline of a randomly chosen Greek statue of Demeter (goddess of fertility, agriculture, and the harvest) and placed it as if it were overseeing a bay and the outline of a city. Roxane Legenstein's distinctive works explore how the structures in and around us restrict and define our perception of reality. In her artistic practice, she relays narratives through the use of a variety of materials, reflecting a certain timelessness of nature and its forms through colors. However, Legenstein describes her techniques as being more coventional in nature.
