About this artwork
A compendium to “Otium I,” Jacobo del Zucchi’s wingless Cupid is now accompanied by a pregnant woman, could it be Psyche? They are in the same grassy knoll but do not share any real interaction with each other. This modern alienation within a pastoral setting is perhaps a necessary element of all reworking of “Arcadian” subjects.

Roy Forget is an experienced artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. He describes his works as a way to contemplate the world he lives in, putting a painterly order into it. Forget's diverse compositions center around the human figure. Not satisfied with the cursory symbolism of the human form, he endeavors to find its weight and its presence.
