My passion for photography began during high school, where I learned the fundamentals from my grandfather in his darkroom. I had the privilege of apprenticing under renowned art photographer Edmund Teske. His artwork and techniques captivated me, inspiring me to embrace photography as an artistic medium.
Maturing in my craft I began to have a growing appreciation for nature, and capturing its beauty became my passion. Having lived in Aomori, Japan, provided me with the opportunity to photograph the unique landscapes of northern Japan. I search for compositions that bring out the beauty of nature. I particularly enjoy making large panorama prints as they transport viewers into the scene as your eye follows the composition. My panorama images are typically captured with several vertical images stitched together to make one large extremely high-resolution photograph.
“I’m dedicated to capturing the profound beauty of nature, which I believe reveals the presence of God.”
