About this artwork
This painting is a visual expression of the idea of leaping without looking but nailing it. Cats have that enviable ability to twist out of any predicament, staying aloof whatever comes along. The reduced and harmonious pallet lends the work a nostalgic playful feeling. This painting was the inspiration for a mural I painted in the fall of 2023 on a beautiful old wooden door in Barcelona.
