About this artwork
This is a flower circle, made of silk flowers, with a little plastic as supports, in greens, whites and off-whites. It resembles a Christmas wreath which some people hang on their doors at Christmas time; or it could be reminiscent of flowers placed on graves at a funeral. I think of it as a happy, accepting work even though its restricted color range lends it a certain somber feel.
