About this artwork
Apocalypse is a subject that has fascinated humanity since the conception of it. It has always been just around the corner. Some branches of religions and catastrophists believe and promote it’s coming. It fascinates me. I was a born again Christian as 15 -17 year old (no more) and the preachings and videos and books on the subject were overpowering. Completely wrong though as they predicted the 90s.
It does though fascinate me still and this painting… is a culmination of story’s I have heard through my life with hallucinations that appear on the canvas as I think I’m the subject.
This is not a morbid painting it has humour horror and inquisitive thoughts all rolled into its composition.
