About this artwork
When I start a painting I have no sketch or plan and the painting appears as the paint hits the canvas. As explained in my bio I have narcolepsy which locks my brain into REM sleep awake or asleep I have very Intense hallucinations cause by hypnagogic REM intrusion. I have learnt to accept these and in a way be led by them. So I was shocked this appeared but as I often find meaning during the painting. I came to think f this as a rumour to keep a…
queen in power. In the days of no tv, media or even news print there was only heresay and rumours and tales. For a woman to remain in power like cleopatra and also queen Elizabeth the 1st and also any male kings pharaohs etc there would have had to be story’s to spark the fear in any man thinking of revolt. So this ridiculous idea that cleopatra was a man eater is completely made up by me but so are most story’s about kings and queens and known figures of the past.
