Helios is a straw marquetry sculpture conceived as a work of light and movement.
Its vertical form and sculptural presence invite the eye to move around the work, revealing an ever-renewed reading.
Straw, a living and naturally luminous material, captures and transforms light depending on the angle of view.
The base, integrated into the sculpture, allows for a fluid rotation of the whole, making movement an essential element of perception.
… Each rotation reveals new compositions of lines, rhythms and reflections, giving the work an almost kinetic dimension.
Entirely handmade, Helios combines artisanal heritage and contemporary design, where matter becomes light.
A unique piece, the base can be detached if necessary, offering freedom of installation while maintaining the balance of the piece.

I am a self-taught artist whose primary medium is straw marquetry, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. I employ meticulous techniques, playing with materials, light, and perception, oscillating between surface and volume, stability and transformation. My graphic style makes each piece an evolving visual experience. My work conveys an emotion of sensory and poetic discovery, inviting the viewer to contemplate light as a revealer of matter and to experience something unique depending on their position and surroundings.
