About this artwork
This abstract oil painting is inspired by nature and its many different shapes and colors. Here the interaction between the calm background and the activity of the blue, spontaneous movements is reminiscent of the different forces in nature. The balance thus created gives the painting its meaning and beauty.
The painting was made with a sponge and brush to create the smoothness and a spatula for the movements and the fine splashes of paint at the… end.
It's an abstract landscape in a more unconventional way and of course everyone sees it differently. And that is exactly what abstract works imply: the viewer is occupied with his imagination when looking at the painting.
For the artist, the painting also shows the different ways we can lead our lives

« For me, abstract painting is transferance of my inspiration from the beauty of nature onto canvas in order to create a story that communicates without speaking. A dialogue without words. »
Sabine Kay is an artist based in Luxembourg whose work has been exhibited nationally as well as in London, Basel and Gstaad, Hamburg and Berlin, China, and Monaco. Nature has always been important to her and her pieces reflect this passion. Through her expressive painting technique, Kay strives for a balance of opposing forces, between chaos and harmony. For her, it is the viewer's imagination that completes the picture and allows for a personal and unique interpretation. With her paintings, she wants to bring joy to the viewer while at the same time bringing the beauty of nature closer through abstract painting.
