About this artwork
A colored figure is connected to her child in the landscape. In this work I have created a three-dimensional structure of shapes and relationships. The mother child figures are closely fused, a representation of human connection and intimacy. Their interaction is sensual and expressive, filled with a deep emotionality that gives the room energy and warmth. It is my vision of the beauty and complexity of human togetherness.

A cousin gifting her a pencil at age 12 was all it took for Sabine Kunz to know that she would one day become an artist. Interested in natural, unconscious movements of people in elemental relationships, such as mothers and daughters, her soft, sensitive figurative paintings draw on both harmony and disharmony.
