About this artwork
Syncopated Rhythm is a wall relief sculpture inspired by jazz music. The artist uses a grid to describe the space in a geometric pattern of squares. Thoughts, rhythm, music, vibrations all come off the grid, therefore the plastic coated wire expands off the grid. The coated wire is wound around the grid while also looping off the grid to mimic how sound vibrations might loop through space. The undulated pattern is reminiscent of many patterns found…
when listening to sound. This wall relief has a metal cleat on the back for easy hanging.
