About this artwork
For this work I used natural materials, such as the bark of a tree, which recall nature and living in contact with it. I wanted to analyze the relationship between man and the landscape, the comparison with it and its authenticity.
I thought that everything moves in a vital circle and that everyone is part of the universe. I collected the bark from a large pine tree outside a church, I was at a funeral. It seems that everything responds by random… instinct: life, death and rebirth.
I also used a swiffer cloth, maybe because recycling is a way for the earth to keep itself clean and efficient...
I inserted pieces of jute canvas because they help me to have a deeper relationship with the countryside being natural fibers.
I enjoy expressing myself a bit like this... Sometimes serious, sometimes playing with the seriousness of the topics...
