About this artwork
I used this t-shirt to embody the American nationalist spirit. Its interventions in international controversies make it a nation always at war... its role in the world is to have hegemony. In the work one of my poems: OCCIDENT "Please be yourself, take your face and slap it in the face and without hesitation take care of this belligerent feeling. Be offensive, recruit the desire to win and scrutinize the enemy from afar. From afar also observe the… stars that observe you, imagine Even the horizon but not the fiery one. Your eyes also imagine explosive villages and boiling beaches; all this in the light of the sun. Because the light, which is strong, would never occupy the space of distant landscapes but only nearby figures that circulate and wander on neutral ground. Make an appeal, someone will answer you, will take up your cause and imagine meeting you..... If it doesn't happen, learn to listen to the wind that blows from the northeast to the west......
"I love art as I love life! The two things cannot be separated, because art is the representation of our inner world and the vision of the world that we represent" Sabrina Missere, a self-taught painter, uses mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, and recycled materials. An expert in abstract art, Missere mixes pop-art and street-art techniques, using brush strokes and spatulas to transform the ordinary into the exceptional. Her works reflect feelings of loneliness and incommunicability, but also a hope for renewal and rebirth, transforming these themes into a powerful artistic vision.
