About this artwork
“Love”, painted in acrylic, charcoal and pastel, 48 x 56 cm, 2015, is an artwork that marks a period of my transition as an artist, in which abstract paintings begin to gain importance in my works. Over the paint I added newspaper sheets from the economics and finance, providing texture to the artwork. The sentiments I felt in that moment was captured by my brushstrokes with a raw energy.
The year 2014 and 2015 was to me a phase in which the contemporary… production of art woke up questions about the importance of art in people's daily lives and the sentiment generated by watchers and collector.
