This artwork is a tribute to the protest movement in Hong Kong, its beauty, its strength and its darkest aspects.
At dawn, with streets still lit with yellow light, color of prodemocratic side, the demonstrator literally follows the famous Bruce Lee quote or maybe is sinking in the Hong Kong bay. In the background the PolyU is on fire.

« I always prefer to show the beauty of nature rather than the on-going destruction to inspire in a positive way »
Sailev is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited in China. Most of his works speak of contemporary issues, especially the importance of environmental protection, as well as the impact of human activities on nature and the animal kingdom. Creating in a style that fuses hyper-realism with surrealism, Sailev describes himself as a socially engaged eco-artist. He primarily creates using oils on linen or canvas.
