Leontopithecus rosalia is the scientific name of the Golden lion tamarin that lives in the Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil. This painting is part of my series Memento Mori Animalis that revisits the artistic theme of memento mori adding some of the smallest and most colourful animals on the planet.
