About this artwork
This visual juxtaposition subverts an airplane window into a portal looking into a dark, rippling sea. By placing the viewer simultaneously in flight and underwater, it blurs the boundaries between soaring and sinking. The contrast between the sterile cabin and fluid depth evokes an uncanny sense of displacement and being ungrounded.
