Each walk down the street presents forms and colors that ask to be played with- the shadow of a bike, the corner of an awning, the lines bridging telephone poles...even the tiny sliver of light passing beneath a mailbox. All of these things are game for me. »
Sally K. Smith is an experienced painter from the United States whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows nationally. Her background in music as a concert pianist influences how she approaches her artistic practice; she sees her work as a passage of time, not unlike listening to a Bach prelude.
