About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the ambiguous territory where memory fragments and reality becomes porous. The image is composed of overlapping layers that don't seek a linear narrative, but rather a diffuse echo of moments, spaces, and sensations that blur in the mind.
The architectural structure and pathways are barely recognizable, like memories that refuse to be named. The textures, stains, and traces are not mistakes, but scars: traces of… a time that erodes and leaves its mark on perception. What is shown is a suspended instant, a place that could be everyone and no one at the same time.
I work with dislocation as raw material, seeking that feeling of estrangement that occurs when one tries to mentally reconstruct a memory and the pieces don't fit together.
I don't seek to represent reality, but rather the way the mind reinterprets it when it finds itself in a territory of cognitive fog.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs.
