About this artwork
twentieth century,
A century of history, a century of war, a wheel that turns and never stops. Three symbols, cross, star, moon, have always battled each other for supremacy. Painted on reclaimed printed PVC canvas. A historical mandala, men and women who have affected our present for better or for worse. Geltrude swings on the swing of time in the cycle and recycling of history. The guardians of a fascist era taken from the Eur of Rome symbolize… oppression and wars of our century.

The prophecy comes true, the right wing resides in the Eur of Rome, the world is pervaded by great upheaval, the earth trembles and asks for mercy.
Where painting and poetry exchange senses to make us vibrate and question the meaning of life
This work is exhibited at the anthological exhibition VIBRATIONS OF THE SOUL.

Salvo Ferrante is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Luxembourg. A firm proponent of the transformative healing power of art, his works explore the individual and collective unconscious through Dadaist interventions and instinct. In Ferrante's symbolic compositions, the primal energy of fire, air, water, and earth are the primary inspirations for his narratives, which have the capacity to both enchant and terrify.
