About this artwork
"Deep Breath" is a series of works that encourage the viewer to pause and think. Each stroke of color captures the essence of life and invites us to find solace in the beauty of existence. In this series, emotions merge seamlessly with color tones, creating a moving story with each color gradient. These works remind us to enjoy the present moment and find peace in the simple moment of breathing.
Sam Bergwein (born 1996 in Stuttgart) is a contemporary German artist whose abstract works are inspired by architecture, nature, and different states of consciousness. Growing up in an artistic environment, he developed a close connection to painting at an early age and began experimenting with various materials and techniques.
His work focuses on multifaceted color compositions and striking tactile surfaces. Using palette knives, spatulas, sponges, and often his hands, he creates works that can be experienced both visually and physically. The combination of controlled composition and intuitive process lends his work depth and dynamism.
His works are now in private collections on several continents and have already been exhibited in various European cities.
