About this artwork
Original watercolor by Sam Francis adorning one of the 25 editions of the lead print of "Yea" by Cid Corman, each bound with a work by the artist on the cover.
This copy was intended for Sam Francis for his personal use and was sent by the artist as a gift to the author prior to publication. It bears the signature of Cid Corman on the first page as well as the date of 1988 (the edition is official published in 1989).
The book is accompanied by… a letter from Cid Corman's wife to one of her friends, in which she offers the book to the latter as a posthumous gift from her late husband.
Concerning the edition, the collection of poems was published by The Lapis Press, 1989, 32 pages.
