Sam Hewitt is a UK painter with international exposure. His recent work explores psychological habits and processes (as they move from the unconscious to the conscious awareness) of the artist. His paintings depict people and their shadows in an urban setting, the shadows referring to the Jungian term for the subconscious self. Hewitt's works are pensive and expertly render the play of light.
