Samar Hejazi, a Canadian painter and textile artist, has extensively exhibited in Canada, as well as in Mexico and Egypt. She uses visual perception, repetition, reflection, light, shadow, multidimensional, and interactivity to question interpretations of structural systems of belief. Hejazi's style echoes her Palestinian cultural upbringing. In her most recent works, she challenges the mind's impulse to create meaning by emphasizing temporality that is based on perspective.
