About this artwork
I am fascinated by sun light and I try to capture it in paint. Light is as important for a painting as sound is for music.
most of my paintings are premier coups (one shot paintings) / alla prima, there are many other terms that are also relevant like plienair-paintings but as a visual person I try not to get caught up in the literal or verbal definition.
occasionally I work on the same painting for several sessions, they are all done on the spot… in the nature observing the landscape and the changing moment.
I painted the window in one of my first trips to paris.
