Sam Rachamin was born in Israel in 1986 to a mixed Israeli American couple.
he grew up in Jerusalem and Motza Illit, a village on the outskirts of Jerusalem, notorious for its beautiful landscape and home to the well-known painter Anna Ticho.
Sam became involved in the creation of sculptures and art from a young age, at first he studied from a local (Motza Illit) artist sculptor and friend. After being accepted to the Bezalel Academy of Arts… and Design, Jerusalem, Sam renounced registering, as he was searching for a more artistically naturalistic and figurative oriented training to develop in, and so he joined the master-class at the Jerusalem Studio School (JSS).
Since 2014, Sam had been regularly visiting Paris in order to copy and learn from the old masters and explore their techniques.
In 2017 Sam moved to Paris and built programs including workshops, tours and art lessons to make the art world more accessible for artists, painters and art lovers.

Samson Mercy, is a painter based in Paris, who exhibited in several galleries around the world. His paintings are in public and private collections in the US, France, UK & Israel. After the artist has been featured in the NY Times, Le Parisian and a few other local newspapers, Sam’s work remains humble honest and direct. Rachamin values the importance of classical art and the beautiful aesthetic of old masters. Many of his paintings are inspired by the history of art, but portray modern and contemporary life....
