About this artwork
Do you also feel like time is flying by faster and faster? Although an hour still has sixty minutes, our perception seems to be different in a hectic world. Maybe we are taking on too much, so that it feels like we are overdrawing our time account?
The past lies in our memories, the future in our hopes and fears. The present, the moment in which we live, often escapes our conscious comprehension. The trick is to stay in the here and now, because… that is where life unfolds. Ultimately, the present moment is the only one we can actively influence - the moment in which we can let go of the old and sow the seeds of the new. This makes it all the more important to pause, find moments of silence and come to terms with yourself.
“Time” opens up a place for you to meet yourself, where you become emotionally free and can develop further. What are you consciously taking time for today?

Sandra Plaar, a former teacher and art therapist, finds her inner home in mixed media techniques and encaustic. Her experimental style explores boundaries and uses a variety of methods, giving a lot of space to intuition and impulses. Her art addresses the acceleration of the modern world and the need for inner reflection. Her lively and multi-layered works reflect the process of becoming and passing away, symbolized by cracks and structures. The works of art radiate inner strength and longing and invite the viewer to become aware of their own power and to embark on a search for personal freedom.
