This painting is one in a series of English landscape paintings, looking at a year in Kent , where Sandy lives and works. She visits the south coast in Kent pretty frequently. Walking on Camber Sands beach is a favourite location of hers. This painting is the first of two inspired by the dune backed beach, with grasses and growing on them.
