About this artwork
Abstracted impressionist landscape.
The passing seasons are a huge influence Sandy and her painting.
There is something about this time of year that really captivates Sandy, and she spends quite a lot of time walking in the rural landscape that surrounds her in South East England. This painting is inspired by the local fields, being ploughed and replanted with winter crops.
She uses Golden acrylic paints, and layers, splashes, spatters, brushes… and palette knives paint onto the canvas to create a rich textured paint surface.
This 40x40cm painting is unframed, it has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
