About this artwork
Sangie practices meditation before beginning a work. Mindfulness allows him to take a step back on his life, his experiences. To extract the impulse she transcribes in painting. Sangie is an emerging French artist whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including Miami Art Basel. Growing up with a painter grandfather, she was inspired to create art and developed her style in Abstract Expressionism. Her background as a dancer informs her artistic practice and she channels the same energy and gestures to play with light, color and movement on canvas.
