About this artwork
The most immediate way to stop climate change starts with the way we eat.
Cattle farming is the second largest emitter of CO2, the main cause of methane release, deforestation, loss of fertile soils and depletion of drinking water, and together with the poultry and fishing industries, the number one cause of species extinction.
We all have the information but even so, in our eagerness to satisfy our hedonistic palate and deep anthropocentrism,… we are ending life as we know it: flora, fauna, landscapes... Even the future of our own children. We voraciously eat the planet without thinking that the root of our greatest problem is our food relationship.
Our future depends on it.

Santa Perpetua is an illustrator, designer and tattoo artist whose early artistic foundation was nurtured by her mother, a tapestry artist, and enriched through art ateliers in Montevideo, Madrid, and Barcelona.
