About this artwork

When the final coat is added the artist returns to excavate the surface by carving into the paint creating thousand of concentric circles, within circles, that confuse the eye and trick the brain. The process consists of both systematic repetition and reflective experience. The results – which act as a record of the temporal activity, tracing its rhythms and movements – are never…
entirely predictable or envisaged.
