About this artwork
In this work, painted in acrylic and deeply rooted in surrealism, I wanted to capture the complex fusion of everyday life and the inexplicable. The scene shows a mother sitting on a sofa, intimately connected with her baby, while her second child lies behind her. Its mood is like the alternation of wakefulness and sleep: sleep and reality are not yet separated from each other. The light in the painting is reminiscent of twilight, in which shades of blue predominate.
